Development

The idea of this photo shoot was to combined Sherman and Moraths photography and reflect an issue women can face. For this image I wanted to reflect the idea of a man admiring a womens body, with sexual intentions. The paper bag was to resemble that her identity was irrelevant, she was only a sex object.

Sketchbook work

These two images were a recreation of the Olympia Manet painting by Édouard Manet. The idea of this shoot was to compare a passive image to a non passive image. As the Olympia painting caused a lot of controversial due to her looking directly at the audience, I wanted to show how when my model looks to the camera it makes the audience feel intimidated. Where as when she looks away she becomes vulnerable allowing an audience to view her body.
